Apo Island Negros Diving at Negros Dive Sites Negros Philippines


Apo Island lies in the southeastern part of Negros Island,Philipppines. Accesible by boats from Negros, Bohol and from Mactan Is.Cebu Philippines.This is a small island that can be fit to two to three dives only.Few residents are in the island fishing for their livelihood and some are entertaining the tourist through their souviner items like t-shirts and shellcrafts.

Marine Sanctuary

The dive site Marine Sanctuary in Apo island is facing the southeastern part of the island.Can be reach by dive tours from Negros island , Bohol island and dive safari trips from Mactan Is. Cebu Philippipnes.The terrain is composedof slopes and walls with good coral heads and black corals.In the western side of this site ,giant clams are in numbers.There are nudibranch,sea stars, featherstars and anemones with clownfishes.Bigger fish are groupers,surgeon fish ,snappers,unicorn fish and triggerfishes. Ornamental angelfish, butterflyfish and lionfishes are everywhere.Finally the shoal of jackfish,turtles and Manta rays make the conclusion to this dive site.

Mamsa Point

The Mamsa Point is in the east side of Apo island.Mamsa means Jackfish that's why lot of jack fishes can be found.The gradual slope of this site is until 25 meters and has more of black corals,whip corals and coral heads.Black tip and whitetip reef sharks are some of the attractions here.Full of ornamental fishes that made the dive more beautiful.

Olo Point

Olo Point is in the east side of Apo island.A.slope terrain.Normally calm with currents.Up to 30 meters visibility.Maximum depth of 25 meters is enough for novice diversn who want to enjoy the normally seen tropical fishes.For experience divers,35 meters maximum to get a chance to see whitetip reef sharks and the shoal of jacks.
