Shoal / Shark Point
Gato Island is one of
our most famous dive sites. Gato is a marine reserved and sea snake sanctuary.
It has banded sea snakes, cuttlefish, seahorses, nudibranchs, frogfish,
moray eels, scorpion fish, squid and big-mouthed mackerel. There are many
whitetip sharks in Gato, bamboo and cat sharks as well. The coral is in
good condition and the rocky island has many interesting underwater rock
formations and overhangs.The whitetip sharks are occasionally seen sleeping
under rocks and crevices,We also have shrimps, cuttlefish, seahorses and
scorpion fish.The guardhouse point has lots lionfish and many nudibranchs,
spanish dancers and frogfish .The cave is home to whitetip sharks .In cathedral
we can see whitetips in encircling movement.There is possibility to see
blue-spotted eagle rays.
Two kilometers from
Malapascua beach. There are few places in the world where you can see mandarinfish
here in Malapascua the rare mandarin fish are guaranteed. We regularly see
seahorses, sweetlips, banded sea snakes, hermit crabs, and many varieties
of shrimp, some interesting nudibranchs, reef squid, octopus, blue-ringed
