This Cebu dive Site got it's
name through the village name.Santa Rosa is located at Olango Island Cebu
Philippines accessible by banca boat or spider boat from Mactan Island.The
beautiful 90 degrees wall with gorgonian seafans,soft tree corals tube sponges
and elephant ear sponges start at 18 meters.Marine life is excellent,best
for drift dives.We can see small school of surgeon fishes,snappers,triggerfishes,Batfishes
in small school , and a lot more of tropical fishes.Stingray and eagle rays
are often spotted in the area and so with frogfishes,sea snakes and tuna.Irish
Scuba Dive Instructor have seen hammerhead shark at the deeper part of this
site at, at least 45 meter depth,she insisted.
Northwestern of Olango Island Is the dive site so called "Baring" .From the shore is a long flat sandy bottom from 3
meters up to 18 to 22 meters where the drop off starts .This sites is not very much suitable for macro photography
because tiny creatures are not plenty around but good for bigger fish viewing.In flat bottom flounders can be found in
several kind and huge blue starfishes are in numbers.The wall is up to 40 meters or more which full of soft corals tube
sponges and hard corals.This site is good for taking a chance to see tunas and thresher shark.Safety stop are sometimes
